This book was assigned for a course my wife took and she felt it was one of the worst books she ever used. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: Easy to Follow, By Alex Williams "Power Bottom" (Madison, WI, USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Exploring Microsoft Office Excel 2007 Comprehensive (Spiral-bound) I was required to purchase this for a class, as the assignments for the class were pulled right from the book. Learning how to perform functions in Excel was very easy, you essentially followed instructions in the book as if it were a cook book. There was little room for error. You didn't even have to read the explanations if you didn't want to, you could just follow the step by step guided instructions to complete assignments. It isn't dazzling, but it gets the job done. This book is laid out decently, and it has enough hands-on exercises combined with practice and mid-level exercises to learn the material. I was able to learn things I never knew I could do with Excel after a single practice exercise. Bottom line: If you need this for a... Read more |
