Product Description
For introductory computer courses on Microsoft Office 2010 or courses in computer concepts with a lab component for Microsoft Office 2010 applications.
The goal of the Exploring series has been to move students beyond the point and click, helping them understand the why and how behind each skill. The Exploring series for Office 2010 also enables students to extend the learning beyond the classroom.
Students go to college now with a different set of skills than they did five years ago. With this in mind, the Exploring series seeks to move students beyond the basics of the software at a faster pace, without sacrificing coverage of the fundamental skills that everybody needs to know. A lot of learning takes place outside of the classroom, and the Exploring series provides learning tools that students can access anytime, anywhere.

This computer game...I mean college class...is hecka fun!!!!!!!!!! Best college class ever. After signing up for MyITLab you just complete each tutorial and then take the quiz..its SO FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EDIT:: I must edit to review the actual textbook. I don't like it. I was confused about the formulas for Excel and remembered that this game...I mean course..has a textbook so I thought I would take a look. The book needs MOAR pictures! I don't get what the author is saying about a computer program without actual screenshots of the computer program if that makes sense. It goes on and on about nothing for several pages and then has a "hands-on" activity that does not have screenshots of the formula we need being inputted into Excel. It has a couple screenshots of after the formula has been entered, but how is that helpful? Its not. So textbook= 1 star. sucks. program it comes with=super ace!

This book was required for an intro to computers class that I had to take at college and, although I already had an understanding of Office, it taught me a few neat tricks that I wasn't aware of before.
Bottom line, if you already know Microsoft Office, you aren't missing out on enough to justify the cost. However, those new to Office or taking a class, this is a great book to learn from.
